This was a varied concert of short items ranging round the world, from home-grown traditional Scottish songs, through American folk song and more modern harmonically challenging pieces, and varying in style from emotionally stirring excerpts from "Les Miserables" to some very light-hearted music indeed.

The concert was performed mostly unaccompanied, but for some of it our regular accompanist, John Wilmett, performed manfully at the piano.

The aim of the concert was to raise funds for the "Big G" appeal by Girlguiding, Scotland. The evening contributed about £1,700.00 to the appeal.
