This season we will be singing a number of choral classics including the ever-popular Fauré Requiem. There will also be two concerts in the lovely market town of Brecon in mid-Wales.

The choir performs a wide variety of music of different periods and styles, sacred and secular, from major choral works to a cappella pieces, carols and lighter music.

Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings. Learn all about Jubilo.

THESE THINGS SHALL BE

John Ireland, 1879 – 1962

A sumptuous mix of favourite Choral pieces including Zadok the Priest (Handel), Laudate Dominum (Mozart), I was Glad (Parry) and Greater Love Hath no Man (John Ireland).

Our concert will conclude with the magnificent choral, orchestral work These things shall be, written by John Ireland in 1937 just before the outbreak of the Second World War. Ireland set verses written by Victorian poet John Addington Symonds, which offered a Utopian vision of a future in which free people would live peaceably with one another and use science to ‘plant man’s lordship firm’ on nature.
