Welcome to Jubilo . .

Jubilo is an adult, mixed-voice choir with over 80 members. It is based in Edinburgh and members come from as far afield as East Lothian and West Lothian as well as the Edinburgh area.

The choir performs a wide variety of music of different periods and styles, sacred and secular, from major choral works to a cappella pieces, carols and lighter music.

Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings. See the “About Jubilo” page for more information.

Each year the choir supports a chosen charity with carol singing, collections at concerts and singing at charity events.

Jubilo returns this April with a reflective Spring Concert featuring the cantatas Dona Nobis Pacem by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Te Deum op. 103 by Antonin Dvorak. There will also be Choral Anthems by Haydn, Kalinnikoff, Rachmaninoff and Rheinberger.

As always, it will be conducted by Walter Thomson and accompanied by the Edinburgh Players. It will also feature soloists Susan McNaught and Ben Ellis.

This is a very special concert for us as it will be our last with Walter Thomson. Walter has been our musical director for 34 years and will be stepping down after this concert.
